At its October 27, 2026 regular meeting, the City of Daly City Recreation Commission discussed pickleball and tennis court use, condition, and rules. By unanimous roll-call vote, the commission asked Recreation staff to develop a pilot update to court rules and signage, with community input and further discussion scheduled for November 24. Staff said relining an additional court could cost about $2,500 per court, while resurfacing and reconfiguring Westlake Park courts is part of a larger capital improvement project requiring city-level prioritization and funding; no funding or construction work was approved at this meeting.
The commission also heard a proposal from All in SF for an April car-show fundraiser at Daly City Park, with proposed participant fees of $10–$30 and possible parking and vendor revenue. The organizers asked the city to waive park fees and provide event equipment and support. Commissioners were supportive, but made no approval or spending commitment; staff and organizers are to discuss logistics with Recreation and Arts and Culture representatives. The item was continued to November 24. No contract award or procurement decision was identified.
