The Collier County Board of County Commissioners meeting on October 27, 2026, included two procurement-related agenda items that were continued to November 10: approval to sell surplus assets by public auction and approval of a Procurement Services administrative report for disposing of property and removing assets from county records. The board approved the Conservation Collier purchase of a 1.14-acre parcel from Sanchez Enterprise Investments LLC for $34,660, with total costs not to exceed $36,210 including closing costs. The parcel is in the Winchester Head Preserve and provides wetland and wildlife habitat.

The board also received an update on the county’s priority-based budgeting software and its review of 2,948 potential program insights, including cost-saving and revenue opportunities. Staff reported $5.6 million in currently committed estimated savings, in addition to previously reported rounds of $37 million and $23 million in implemented insights; no new savings allocations or procurement actions were approved during the presentation. The board discussed possible future procedures for tracking and allocating realized savings. Other major discussion concerned affordable-housing land-use proposals and a proposed Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee, but no contract awards or purchasing decisions were made on those items.
