The City of Westfield Advisory Plan Commission met on October 27, 2026. The commission approved the October 5 and October 13 meeting minutes and unanimously approved consent agenda item 2608-17, the IU medical office building. No procurement awards, bids, contract amounts, or vendor-selection votes were reported. A transportation-related consulting engagement was noted: Structure Point has been hired to conduct an independent traffic evaluation for the area around 191st Street and the proposed Costco development; commissioners also discussed whether to obtain a separate independent review. Staff mentioned that funding for a continuing multifamily housing study is included in next year’s budget, with no amount or consultant identified.
The commission held workshops on the proposed Northpointe PUD amendment for a gasoline station and additional retail, and the Town West Village PUD, including a Kroger store, housing, preserved green space, roads, and pedestrian connections. Commissioners discussed potential requirements for drive-through limits, signage, buffers, and traffic calming; staff will work through revisions with the applicants and city departments. The Northpointe proposal is expected to return for recommendation November 4, while Town West Village was discussed for a possible November 16 workshop. These were planning discussions, not procurement approvals.
