At its October 27, 2026 regular meeting, the Clark County Public Schools Board of Education approved several facilities-related payments: BG26-107, pay application 4 to Dakota Construction for the Baker/RDC roof renovation, and BG26-108, pay application 6 to Codell Construction for the RDC miscellaneous athletics project. The board also approved invoice 25019-015 to RossTarrant Architects for $31,545.74 for RDC/Baker miscellaneous projects, including design work on baseball and softball fields. It approved a letter of interest to Milestone Towers, authorizing district discussions about a possible property-related opportunity, with information to be brought back to the board; this was not an award or commitment. The board also approved matching the state’s FY2027 first KETS offer of $59,005.43, with a second offer and corresponding district match expected later, and authorized payment of bills.
The board approved an MOU with the Clark County Winchester Heritage Commission to address property and liability responsibilities, and approved an overnight Washington, D.C., trip for a GRC JAG student; JAG will cover the trip costs. Board members were also authorized to attend the KSBA Winter Symposium. Much of the meeting focused on Kentucky Summative Assessment results, school improvement plans, and instructional priorities; the superintendent said curriculum and other resource needs tied to improvement plans may return for board consideration in January. No curriculum purchase or other new procurement award was approved in that discussion.
