The Dacono City Council regular meeting was held October 26, 2026. Procurement-related items included a police department update that its first traffic speed sign had arrived, at an approximate cost of $5,000 each; the chief said the budget included two additional signs for the school zone, along with a new flashing beacon, planned for next year. The chief also reported that the department had picked up a new vehicle, with no cost or vendor stated. Staff reported that the 6th Street roundabout remains on schedule for completion by mid-December, weather permitting; no contract award or project cost was discussed. The consent agenda passed unanimously and included an agreement for municipal court judge services, a law-enforcement information-sharing MOU, and a water dedication agreement.

Council unanimously approved Resolution 26-62 establishing annexation eligibility for about 29 acres north of Colorado National Speedway, then approved on first reading the annexation and initial Industrial I-1 zoning ordinances. It also unanimously approved on first reading Ordinance 10-25, which would provide a 50% sales-tax credit for taxable transactions at Sharp Farms Town Center to facilitate a public financing agreement involving the city, urban renewal authority, metropolitan district, and developer; a public hearing was set for November 9. No dollar value for the credit or financing was given. The police calls-for-service dashboard and holiday festival plans were presented, but no related purchasing approvals or spending amounts were identified.
