The Bayonne Board of Education held an open workshop on October 28, 2026. Trustees were told that policy revisions under item A9 are at first reading, are described as routine updates with no cost increase, and will receive further committee discussion before a second reading at the next board meeting. Several agenda items were held, including B2, B5, C14 and C15; no spending or contract-approval votes were reported. Soil sampling and bedrock testing have begun at the St. Andrew’s property to assess the site’s suitability for a possible school or other building. The report is expected in about a month or longer and will be brought back to the Board for review.

The Board also heard updates on exploring community grants for school gardens, with more information expected at the November meeting, and on career-technical education partnerships and student programs. No vendor selections, contract awards, procurement amounts, or other purchasing decisions were identified.
