Augusta, Georgia special-called committee meeting, October 27, 2026. The committees approved several spending and procurement actions. Public Services unanimously approved $379,795.19 in additional fees for Infrastructure Systems Management (ISM) for out-of-scope design, testing, inspection, and related work performed over roughly four and a half years; officials said the amount would be covered by recaptured ARPA funds. The proposed amendment for ISM’s fifth contract year was deferred to the full commission because the agenda listed the wrong year and amount. Engineering Services approved by consent $76,650 for completion and implementation of the AMCS web-based residential waste collection management platform. Public Safety approved by consent the purchase of a 2026 Pierce Sabre pumper and associated equipment from Ten-8 Fire and Safety LLC for $1,060,000 through the League of Oregon Cities cooperative purchasing contract. The committee also unanimously ratified $64,919.54 for previously provided safety services, with rebidding anticipated.

In the post-executive-session business, commissioners unanimously authorized the mayor and administrator to execute contracts and documents related to cybersecurity. They also approved two settlements: $150,000, payable from fund balance, and $60,000, payable from contingency; the latter passed 10–1, with one abstention. Engineering Services discussed overgrown rights-of-way, vacant lots, and sidewalk safety concerns, and forwarded the matter for follow-up and a report on potential actions and resources. The administrator said a broader work session on maintenance responsibilities and a plan for addressing the issue was being prepared.
