Organizational Meeting

The Municipal District of Taber held its annual organizational meeting on October 27, 2026. Council elected Tamar Menega as Reeve and Lane Johnson as Deputy Reeve, then approved the attached meeting schedule after discussing a possible conflict with a February meeting date. Council also approved the agency, board, committee, commission, and organizational representation list and the corresponding appointments, including an alternate for the Taber Shooting Foundation and appointments to the Municipal District of Taber Library Board. Several library appointments required approval for terms exceeding three consecutive years under section 44 of the Libraries Act; the transcript records the motions as carried. Council also selected committee chairs and a vice chair before adjourning.
