The City of Raleigh Planning Commission’s regular meeting on October 27, 2026, included unanimous approval of the prior meeting’s minutes and consideration of two Unified Development Ordinance text amendments. The Commission unanimously recommended approval of TC 326, an omnibus amendment containing 23 housekeeping, clarification, and code-alignment changes. Changes discussed included extending the timeline for hearings on appeals from 90 to 120 days. The Commission also unanimously recommended approval of TC 626, which would allow qualifying custom signage plans to have up to 10 lines of copy instead of five and up to 300 square feet of sign area instead of 100 square feet. The signage changes would still require separate review and City Council approval.
