The Hudson School Board’s October 26, 2026 meeting included discussion of elementary movement and recess schedules and a student mental-health update. The board reviewed its 2026–27 budget and approved the original budget and tax levy by roll-call vote. The total levy was $62,257,127, including $54,185,858 for the general fund, $7,646,269 for debt service, and $425,000 for community service. The levy was held at the prior year’s total while the mill rate decreased from 8.21 to 7.93; the district also reported a $1.8 million increase in equalization aid.
The board discussed replacing the high school track, with Fisher Track recommended at $290,946 for removal and replacement of the track surface, plus related curb repairs. The cost is included in the general capital budget, but no approval vote was taken; staff will seek pricing for alternative track colors and inspect a reported drainage area. The board also received an update on the sale and donation of surplus school items. A possible homeschool-support services contract with vendor Full Minds was introduced for further consideration in closed session, with no public decision reported.
