Operational updates included the completed resealing and restriping of the Floral City Library parking lot, plans to maintain other branch facilities, and work underway to convert Central Ridge’s computer lab into a meeting space. The library also launched the Transparent Language learning resource. No bids, contract awards, vendor selections, or purchasing approvals were presented or voted on; no procurement activity was identified.

The director reported that the U.S. Family Foundation fund held just over $531,000, with a quarterly net increase of about $68,000, and noted that $600,000 had previously been withdrawn for renovations at Lakes Region and Coastal Region libraries. Friends of the Library reported more than $43,000 raised at the recent systemwide book sale, while the upcoming “Booked” fundraising event has a $25,000 goal. Public comments and board discussion also addressed potential future budget impacts, library services, and facility planning, but no related spending decision was made.
