The City of Port St. Lucie City Council held its regular meeting on October 26, 2026. No contract awards, RFPs, bid approvals, or vendor selections were identified. A presentation on the second year of the Love Your Block program reported 10 projects, approximately $57,000 in grants and project funding, and more than $100,000 in donations, mostly in-kind. Staff said the program hopes to leverage Community Development Block Grant funding in year three and return to Council in January with recommendations for expanding to two additional neighborhoods. The meeting also included public concerns about pedestrian safety, school routes, traffic calming, and city-managed cameras; staff reported that sidewalk projects were under design or nearing completion, but no related spending approval was presented.
Council approved Ordinance 26-101 establishing a community development district for a development phase, allowing infrastructure financing and maintenance through the district; the applicant described a conceptual plan for about 1,200 residential units. Council also approved the 2050 Mobility Plan and 2025 mobility fee technical report (Ordinance 26-89), several land-use and zoning ordinances, and a special exception for an existing car wash expansion. Items 7A, 8C, 8D, and 11B were tabled to a date uncertain. These actions were planning and financing approvals rather than procurement awards; no specific contract expenditure or purchase was authorized.
