The Clover Park School District Board of Directors held a workshop on October 26, 2026. The board received an early overview of potential capital projects identified through the district’s facility condition assessment; projects remain subject to change and superintendent approval, and no contract awards or procurement approvals were made. The assessment identified about $166 million in corrective actions through 2031. A preliminary list of exterior painting and masonry repairs at 15 schools was estimated at $2.3 million, though the district expects to narrow the scope. At Clover Park High School, the district plans to rebid lighting and auditorium work after prior bids exceeded engineering estimates; potential work includes seating and interior painting, alongside evaluations of restroom and locker-room repairs and a cooling tower. Phase five of the districtwide camera replacement program is estimated at $1.3 million, with bidding anticipated December 14 and board action expected in January. Playground fall-protection surfaces at six JBLM schools are also under review; replacing tile is estimated at $75,000 per playground, and the district will research durable, accessible alternatives before deciding.
