At the October 27, 2026 City of South Fulton Council meeting, members approved several purchasing and infrastructure items. Council unanimously approved an award to Orkin LLC through Sourcewell cooperative contract 0128250RK for pest control at city-owned and leased facilities, not to exceed $150,000 for 12 months, with a one-year renewal option. Council also approved a piggyback contract with Musco Sports Lighting LLC for sports-lighting solutions; the transcript cuts off the stated contract ceiling after โ€œ$1,โ€ so the full amount cannot be confirmed. Public Worksโ€™ intergovernmental agreement with the City of Atlanta for water-facility relocation needed for the TSPLOST-funded Welcome All Road/Scarborough-Jonesboro Road intersection project was approved unanimously. A separate MARTA agreement for bus-stop and pedestrian-access improvements, with construction costs to be borne by MARTA, was discussed; the transcript ends before recording the outcome of the motion.

The council also approved the 2026 millage rate of 12.399 by roll-call vote, maintaining the same rate for a fourth year. A work-session presentation introduced Access South Fulton, a Tyler-based online platform intended to automate permitting, licensing, planning, code-enforcement, fire, and right-of-way processes, with a planned launch in the first quarter of 2027; no platform cost or campaign budget was stated. The meeting included information about the county transportation sales tax (three-quarters of a penny, generating about $23 million annually for South Fulton) and its upcoming renewal referendum, but no renewal action was taken by the council. A proposed confidentiality ordinance was removed from consideration for further education and discussion.
