The Warrick County, Indiana Drainage Board met on October 26, 2026. Members approved the October 12 minutes. The board opened three bids for tree, brush, and vegetation removal along Hard Williams Ditch: Beavers Services of Chandler, $31,632; Elliott’s Excavating, $19,398; and GE Tree Service, $26,750. The transcript records a 3-0 motion after discussion of the bid specifications, including cutting trees flush to the ground without removing stumps, but does not clearly identify the motion or a selected vendor. The successful bidder was expected to begin within 14 days, subject to right-of-entry arrangements.
The board also discussed a CenterPoint power pole reportedly located within the 75-foot legal-drain easement on Coles Creek, and an unresolved drainage issue for which a landowner had been sent a letter. For the Willow Brook subdivision entrance on Pollock Avenue, staff described replacing about 160 feet of pipe to address longstanding flooding. The highway department requested drainage staff’s assistance; staff plans to develop a proposal using approved unit rates from the paving contractor and proceed if the proposal is satisfactory. The board expressed support in discussion, with no formal vote on that work recorded.
