The Oregon City Planning Commission met on October 26, 2026. It reviewed a proposed municipal-code revision establishing a discretionary, Type III review option for geologic-hazard applications alongside the existing clear-and-objective Type II path. The discretionary process would include a public hearing and review involving geotechnical expertise; applicants would pay for city peer review, and the applicant’s report is due 14 days before the hearing. The commission unanimously recommended forwarding the code revision to the City Commission for consideration on November 18, 2026. No contract award or procurement was identified.

The commission also considered Oregon City School District’s modification to its transportation-facility master plan, including replacing a previously required road widening, realignment, and water-line work with improvements retaining the existing roadway and adding a 12-foot shared-use path. The applicant cited an earlier estimate of about $1.2 million for the larger road scope, likely higher now; commissioners discussed costs, public funds, parking, and emergency access. The commission approved the modification, including language superseding prior related approval conditions and an intergovernmental agreement, by a 4–2 vote. No purchase or contract award was approved.
