Kosciusko County Health Board meeting, October 26, 2026: The board approved the minutes and staff reports and reviewed the adopted 2027 health budget. It approved five 2027 MOUs funded through HFI: $61,563 for the Northern Indiana Maternal and Child Health Network; $95,000 for Warsaw Community Schools’ school health liaison; $95,000 for LiveWell Kosciusko prevention programs; $15,000 for LiveWell Kosciusko’s mobile mammography program; and $5,400 for Purdue University Extension’s diabetes and nutrition education programs. The four MOUs other than Warsaw Community Schools were approved together; the school MOU was voted on separately, with one abstention. Total approved MOU funding was $271,963.
The board also discussed measles preparedness, vaccination rates, and a TB patient’s treatment with a costly medication whose two-week loading dose was reported at $9,000; insurance, Johnson & Johnson assistance, and potentially state funding were expected to cover costs, with no local payment currently anticipated. No other procurement decisions or policy changes were identified. The board reviewed member terms and meeting dates before adjourning.
