At its October 26, 2026 meeting, the Aberdeen Public School Board approved the consent agenda and heard an Indian Education program report. The director reported reduced Johnson O’Malley funding—approximately $28 per eligible student compared with $128 two years earlier—and an estimated carryover of about $32,000, down from roughly $78,000 several years ago. Because of limited funding, the program did not run its school shoe-supply program, which typically costs about $22,000 annually, and expects to forgo other larger expenditures. No contracts, vendor selections, bids, or purchasing approvals were identified.
The board also received the annual accountability report, reviewed school improvement plans, and discussed the Title I comparability report. It approved the first reading of the school improvement plans and passed a resolution to form a consolidated Board of Equalization with the city and county. These discussions concerned federal education requirements and student services; no specific procurement action was identified.
