The School District of Menomonee Falls Board of Education held its regular meeting on October 26, 2026. The board approved the 2026–27 budget and tax levy as presented by a 5–2 vote; a proposed amendment to increase instructional spending was not brought to a vote after the chair determined it lacked a specified funding source. The adopted budget uses $1.1 million from health insurance reserves and $400,000 from the post-employment benefits trust to balance operations. The district also expects $365,000 in final costs for its office relocation project, and about $500,000 in carryover is reserved for a planned math textbook adoption. The tax levy is up 0.9% while the projected tax rate falls 2% to $6.22 per $1,000 of equalized value. Board members discussed teacher compensation and retention, but no salary amendment was adopted.

The board approved monthly vouchers payable totaling $1,308,771.15 and approved the consent agenda, including the employee handbook, two overnight field-trip requests, and state technology education and engineering standards. The finance committee reported that environmental remediation and testing at Ben Franklin Elementary had been completed with help from external contractors and experts; no contract amount, vendor selection, or new procurement approval was reported. No bids or contract awards were identified at the meeting.
