The Beaver Dam Unified School District Board of Education regular meeting was held October 26, 2026. The board approved the district’s 2026–27 original budget, with Fund 10 revenues and expenditures each totaling $43,613,987, and separately approved and certified a property tax levy of $21,684,328. It also approved payment of claims totaling $21,421,185.06. No new construction contract awards or vendor selections were reported. The board received an update on referendum projects: Washington’s summer work and districtwide summer projects at Prairie View and Lincoln were largely complete, while middle school construction continued on schedule overall, with masonry behind schedule and a recovery plan in place. Reported local spending as of October 15 was $1,873,714 at Washington and $1,711,660 at the middle school; 22–24 community members were working as contractors on the middle school site.

The board approved spring 2027 Start College Now course requests and new course proposals for the 2027–28 school year. It also approved a $2,000 donation from David Hoang for the high school cross-country program and approved staff appointments, resignations, and retirements. Board policy updates—including an AI policy slate—were presented for first reading, with a second reading planned for November; no policy changes were adopted at this meeting.
