At its October 26, 2026 meeting, the Princeton Mayor and Council discussed several procurement and capital matters. Council approved a $69,590.99 contract with SHI International Corp. for OpenGov/Verosoft software through a cooperative purchasing contract; authorized two 2026 Ford Maverick vehicles from All American Ford of Paramus for $76,612.60; and approved membership in the EQUALIS group purchasing program. Council also approved a final change order reducing the J. Fletcher Creamer and Sons guide-rail contract by $20,955, setting the final contract amount at $94,270, and rejected bids for 2026 fall tree planting. An emergency HVAC contract with Hutchins HVAC Inc. was confirmed. Council canceled a previously authorized $480,060 contract with National Auto Fleet Group for two Phoenix Motorcars shuttle vehicles.
The council reviewed the Community Park South proposal, with an estimated $18.8 million construction cost for two phases; members requested a more detailed cost breakdown, including quantities, unit costs, and possible bid alternates. No construction commitment was made. By motion, council requested further information and an updated presentation for its November 23 meeting before considering whether to direct consultant Bowman to complete construction documents. Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad (PFARS) also asked the municipality to purchase replacement ambulances through a state contract or purchasing cooperative. Its proposal would average approximately $200,000–$250,000 annually in vehicle support, in addition to the existing $125,000 annual operating contribution; the council took no funding or purchasing action on the request.
