The City of Horn Lake Planning Commission met on October 26, 2026. The commission recommended approval of case 2026-115, rezoning a vacant 4.84-acre Delta Tech Park lot from Planned Business Park to Planned Commercial, with the motion limiting use to a hotel and customary accessory uses. It then approved the site plan for a four-story, 119-room LiveSmart extended-stay hotel, contingent on final rezoning approval and staff-report conditions; final landscaping remains subject to administrative review. Discussion covered accessible parking, hotel amenities and exterior materials, among other design details. The commission tabled the absent applicant’s lounge-bar case 2026-082 until the next month and also tabled the Studio Res by Marriott site-plan case 2026-117.

For Klein Tours, the commission recommended rezoning approximately 8.5 acres on Highway 51 from Commercial C-4 to Light Industrial M-1, limiting the property to a bus terminal or service facility unless it is rezoned again. It also recommended approval of a conditional-use permit for motor-coach parking, dispatch and related administration, subject to final rezoning approval and six staff conditions addressing matters including residential screening, lighting, noise, highway access and site review. Final site-plan details are to be reviewed later, and the Board of Aldermen will make the final decisions. No procurement, contract awards, purchasing decisions or spending allocations were identified.
