The Pittsford Central School District’s community information session, “Pittsford Power Hour,” was held October 20, 2026, and focused on the district’s proposed five-year strategic plan. Superintendent Shayna Kataya described four student commitments—being supported; well and connected; challenged and included; and ready for the future—based on district data and input from families, students, staff, and community members. The plan includes consistent family communications, student well-being and transitions, project-based learning, career pathways, financial literacy, and recognition of varied post-high-school routes. The district plans to develop annual action plans and provide quarterly progress updates to the Board of Education and community. The technology management committee is refining guidance on screen time and artificial intelligence, with a presentation to the Board anticipated in December.
No contract awards, bids, purchasing approvals, or specific budget allocations were identified. The superintendent noted that the district is working with its foundation on possible grants to support teacher projects and resources, but no grant decisions or spending commitments were announced. Discussion also covered staff wellness, school start times, community partnerships, internships, and field trips; no related procurement action was taken.
