Concord Board of Education City & Community Relations Committee | 10-26-26

The Concord School District’s City & Community Relations Committee met on October 26, 2026, to discuss the Memorial Field project and coordination with the City. The committee noted that the district and city each committed $600,000 toward the $1.2 million design and permitting phase. It voted to recommend that the full school board direct district staff to negotiate an updated facilities-use MOU with city staff, and separately request that the city council consider exploring joint fundraising for Memorial Field. Members also discussed future cost-sharing, facility scheduling and operating authority, deed and grant restrictions, public access, and the need for further design decisions and value engineering. No construction contract or vendor award was made.
