Board of Adjustment – October 26, 2026

The City of Asheville Board of Adjustment met on October 26, 2026. The board approved the minutes and findings of fact from its September 28 meeting. It also voted to continue the variance request for 20 Lakeside to the November 23 hearing.

The board considered a flood-hazard variance for repairs to a historic structure, allowing it to remain short of certain flood-protection standards to preserve its historic character. After staff presented the application and recommended conditions, the board approved the variance in accordance with those conditions. No contract awards, purchasing decisions, budget allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
