The City of Vallejo Deferred Compensation Committee met on October 26, 2026, to review performance, fees, and investment options in its 457, 401A, and retirement health savings plans. The committee voted unanimously to remove the Sterling Capital Total Return Bond Fund from watch status and add Allspring Special Midcap Value to watch status. It postponed a vote on moving Vanguard target-date funds to lower-cost collective investment trusts until the January meeting, pending further discussion with plan members; the proposed change could save about $8,000 but would remove ticker-symbol access and change the investment consultant’s role. Members also discussed the self-directed brokerage option and the plan’s accumulated administrative account balance of $137,563.

The committee asked to place a discussion and potential vote on lowering the administrative fee and on self-directed brokerage options on the next agenda, and to consider approval for a member to attend an April conference. New committee members and a new chair and vice chair were approved. No contract awards, vendor procurements, or capital purchases were identified.
