The October 21, 2026 regular meeting of the Hollywood City Commission approved a citywide answering and information-service agreement with the highest-ranked proposer, Twenty Second Century Technologies, Inc. The agreement provides AI-assisted call handling, live call takers and website chat; its annual base amount is $701,830, with a 10% contingency and a not-to-exceed annual amount of $772,013. The initial term is three years, with two one-year renewal options. The resolution passed unanimously. Staff said existing call-center contracts are being wound down and estimated that about $370,000 in those costs will offset the new service. The Commission also unanimously approved the consent agenda, which included $250,000 in general-fund grants to community and social-service organizations, and ratified submission of three applications to the Resilient Florida program; no grant amounts were stated.

The Commission unanimously approved the design and site plan for improvements to Harry Berry Park, including expanded green and pervious areas, a playground, restroom facilities and revised parking. The discussion described the work as funded through development-related proceeds rather than existing residents’ tax dollars; commissioners also recommended considering shade, an outdoor rinse fixture, elevated walkways for water retention and public art. Separately, commissioners expressed support for further developing six recommendations from a Downtown Hollywood retail-recruitment assessment, including a self-funded downtown organization, priority-tenant incentives and improved parking management, but no funding or procurement action on those recommendations was taken at this meeting.
