WRPS Educational Services Cmte. Meeting 10/5/26

The Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools Educational Services Committee met on October 5, 2026. The committee approved seeking a state waiver to begin the 2027–28 school year before September 1; the proposed calendar cannot be approved until the waiver is granted. The committee also tabled proposed board policy updates, including updates concerning artificial intelligence and nondiscrimination, for further review before a planned vote next month. These revisions were described as reflecting legal, statutory, and court-decision changes.

Members received updates on proposed curriculum changes, including CTE course revisions and proposed increases to some CTE course fees; these proposals are expected to return for approval in November.
