The Marshfield Conservation Commission’s October 21, 2026 meeting addressed wetlands permits, enforcement, and compliance; no procurement activity, contract awards, or spending decisions were identified. The Commission unanimously approved the notice of intent for a flood-compliant rebuild at 22 Fifth Road, subject to filing for a certificate of compliance, maintaining effective erosion controls, using clean compatible fill, and providing 1,000 square feet of native plantings. The project would replace the existing home with a larger structure elevated on piles, with pervious paving and additional landscaping. Hearings for 36 Old Ocean Street and 31 Constellation Road were continued to November 18 and November 4, respectively.
By a 4–1 vote, the Commission granted reconsideration of its prior decision on the 12 Carswell Street dock application, reopening the hearing for November 18. The applicant is to provide abutter notice and an extension through December 19; the Commission will arrange publication. The Commission also agreed that existing garden plantings and mulch at Hannah Ames Way could remain, but no additions would be allowed; knotweed removal would require a notice of intent. The meeting included discussion of vegetation removal enforcement at 900 Ferry Street and approval of a certificate of compliance for 126 Beach Street.
