The Kaimukī Neighborhood Board No. 4 regular meeting was held October 21, 2026. No contract awards, RFPs, vendor selections, or procurement approvals were identified. Hawaii Green Growth reported watershed assessments and said it was finalizing a grant-funded contract to install about 100 rain barrels; no contract value or vendor was provided. The City’s island-wide GROW program now accepts food scraps in residential green carts for composting, with material processed at Hawaiian Recycling Composting Facility. These were program updates, not board purchasing decisions. The transportation committee advocated rerouting part of Bus Route 200, estimating its proposal could save the city more than $250,000 annually; no route or budget decision was made. The board unanimously agreed to participate in the Kaimukī Christmas Parade, with no related spending specified.
Other discussion included public safety reports, a proposed street-signage request near Maumauai Nature Park, park cleanup and maintenance concerns, and preparations for a November 7 food and wine event at Kapiʻolani Community College. The board also heard updates on the Happy Days building and local road-safety issues. No additional procurement activity was identified.
