The Kalihi Pālama Neighborhood Board No. 15 regular meeting was held October 21, 2026. No contract awards, vendor selections, bids, or procurement spending approvals were reported. Infrastructure updates included planned Dillingham Boulevard traffic-cone removal and restriping, followed by construction by the Skyline guideway and station contractor, Tutor Perini, when ready. City staff also discussed possible 2027 paving and restriping on Beretania Street, with longer-term safety improvements under consideration, and the federally funded Kalihi Walkways project, which is expected to complete design in 2029 and begin construction in 2030. A state traffic emergency zone at Nimitz Highway and River Street was reported as a means to accelerate procurement and permitting for repair work to prevent further structural deterioration.

The board voted 10–0 to support the city’s proposed expansion of dog-friendly park areas, while noting the need for adequate staffing, and 10–0 to approve a community recognition resolution. Members also raised concerns about illegal dumping, traffic safety, and ongoing nuisance conditions; no related purchases or contracts were approved. A housing redevelopment update stated that an application for funding is expected in January, with a first phase potentially beginning late next year if funding is approved. The board also voted to participate in the holiday parade; this was a community activity rather than a procurement action.
