🏗️ Construction & Infrastructure 📚 Education Physical Infrastructure Grants & Funding

The Corvallis School Board meeting on October 22, 2026, included an update on the Osborne Aquatic Center roof-repair project. The district reported that Eagle Mountain Construction, awarded the construction contract on July 1, is underway and the work remains on schedule. The project is estimated at $6.3 million, with $628,000 still to be raised; funding to date includes a $500,000 Travel Oregon grant and community donations, and another grant application has been submitted through the City of Corvallis. The district is targeting April 1, 2027, to confirm full funding and decide whether to proceed with the pool-liner work. The current project focuses on roof repairs and reopening the facility; a broader facilities assessment identified approximately $26 million in needs over 20 years. The district and city are also meeting on an updated operating agreement and longer-term capital funding. No new contract award or project-spending vote occurred at this meeting.

The board unanimously approved the annual Division 22 report and instructional-time calculation allowances. The district reported October enrollment of 5,429 students, down 6% from the prior year; while this does not affect the 2026–27 budget, it is expected to affect future budget projections. The board’s motion to approve proposed amendments to Oregon School Boards Association bylaws failed, and it unanimously approved changes to its board–superintendent working agreements. Members also discussed possible revisions to public-comment procedures, with district leadership asked to prepare a draft for future board review.
