At the October 13, 2026, Grays Harbor County Commissioners meeting, the board opened bids for the 2026 drift sand removal project. Two bids were received: an unnamed bidder offered $100 for items 2–4 (item 1 was not applicable), and Brumfield Construction offered $100 for each of four items, totaling $400. The commissioners did not award the project during the meeting. They approved multiple supplemental budget adjustments, including $25,000 for courtroom speakers; $250,000 transfers between the public safety sales tax and facilities capital funds; and adjustments for ARPA ($246,563), homeless housing ($863,000), developmental disabilities ($321,425), mental health ($71,425), public health ($327,750), veterans ($59,809), and other funds. The tax-title adjustment recognized timber-sale revenue, with $450,000 for professional services and $572,672 added to ending cash.

The board approved a $22,800 addendum with Gray & Osborne, an extension of the Eco Northwest contract through June 30, 2027, and a $1.3 million Department of Ecology grant agreement through WSU Extension. It also approved agreements or amendments with public defense, health, and juvenile-service providers, the 2027 WCIF agreement, and 2027 central and management services budgets; it approved terminating the McCleary Court Services agreement. Amid discussion of a potential $12 million budget deficit, commissioners deferred consideration of three position-related consent items until November 3. They also pulled a proposed interlocal agreement with Thurston and Lewis counties from the agenda. Public Defense raised a need for larger office space, but no funding or procurement action was taken on that request.
