The Government Review Committee met on October 20, 2026, to review proposed town-charter revisions and prepare its report and warrant materials for Town Meeting. The committee unanimously approved a strategy to present the charter and separate warrant articles addressing the town moderator’s term and the recall provision, allowing those issues to be considered and voted on separately. It also approved multiple wording changes, including provisions on Town Meeting members’ communications with town officers and employees, remote participation accommodations, oaths of office, and other governance and drafting clarifications. The committee directed members to review the updated report and recommendations before submission for the warrant; a Select Board meeting was scheduled for November 9, and the committee discussed outreach ahead of Town Meeting in January.
