The Revere City Council meeting of October 26, 2026, included several spending and infrastructure actions. The Council unanimously approved a $16.5 million bond authorization for the Wonderland eminent-domain settlement and a $916,000 appropriation from the high school stabilization fund for related legal bills, primarily from Foley Hoag. Officials said the land and legal costs remain within the project’s original $493 million authorization, while noting that construction savings are estimates. The Council also approved an appropriation for Garfield School elevator design: the agenda described a $125,000 request, but the final roll-call motion was for $120,000, which passed with ten votes in favor, one opposed, and one present. It approved a $156,626.90 transportation-fund appropriation for traffic-calming and infrastructure work, and an amortization schedule for the FY2026 snow-and-ice deficit, spreading the remaining $800,909 over FY2027–FY2029 after a state contribution.

The Council approved the Overlook Ridge Drive layout, advancing a rerouted entrance with a traffic signal, MBTA bus stops, and trail connections; the proponents said MassWorks and MassDOT funds would cover the work and that it required no city funds. A proposed Coolidge Street smart-growth overlay for a large affordable-housing redevelopment, with potential state incentive and density payments, was referred to zoning rather than approved. The Council also discussed, but did not decide, a rental registry and inspection ordinance, including a proposed $25 annual registration fee. Other permit applications were referred to zoning, and the Council requested review of neighborhood traffic changes and action on Revere Beach pavilion and seawall conditions.
