9/23/26 Lannom Library Committee - Special Call Meeting

The Coffee County, Tennessee Lannom Library Committee held a special-call meeting on September 23, 2026, to discuss grounds work at the library. The committee discussed a $1,500 quote from Bird’s Lawn and Tree Service for landscaping cleanup, including removing specified crepe myrtles and pavers and clearing weeds. A motion to spend the $1,500 was seconded and approved by three members. Other crepe myrtles, including those along the side of the building, were to remain untouched.

The committee also discussed using $3,500 in appropriated funds for TBM Tree Service to remove four pine trees and two other trees and grind stumps, including additional crepe myrtle stumps. No separate vote on the TBM work was recorded. Further landscaping improvements were deferred until after planned roof work, which may damage the backyard area; members also noted that tree removal should occur soon because of storm risks.
