School Board Meeting - 09/21/26

At its September 21, 2026 meeting, the Mukwonago Area Schools Board heard a Rolling Hills Elementary student presentation and principal’s report on student programs and academic outcomes. The main procurement-related action was approval of authority to renew the robotics facility lease at a cost not to exceed $2,650 per month, split equally between the district and the robotics team. The board also adopted an acknowledgement concerning a transfer of funds from Fund 10 to Fund 46, the medical liability account; the presentation characterized this as a transfer between budget accounts rather than new spending.

The board approved an update to the transportation policy on notice, confidentiality, and retention of audio and video recordings from school buses. Staff presented options for pre-employment health and drug screening, but the board took no action on those options. The 2027–28 school calendar discussion was also preliminary: staff will return in October with further feedback and a possible resolution seeking permission for an earlier-than-September 1 start. No contract award or other purchasing decision was identified beyond the robotics lease renewal.
