HCPS Board Meeting 9-3-2026

At the September 3, 2026 Henry County Public Schools Board meeting, members considered two facilities procurements. Staff recommended awarding the A Elementary School metal-roof retrofit to Alli Roofing Company, Inc. for $634,222 and forwarding the request to the Board of Supervisors for approval. The board unanimously approved resurfacing tennis courts at both high schools by Keystone Sports Construction for $158,957.57 through Sourcewell contract 031622-SI. The board also reviewed the FY2027 operating budget amendment: the approved budget totals $120,663,759, with a $83,122 reduction in the local funding request and proposed categorical transfers among instruction, administration, operations and maintenance, technology, and pupil transportation. Members heard that FY2027 Title I funding was cut by approximately $515,000 and Title II by approximately $100,000, affecting staffing, tuition reimbursement, and professional development. A proposed student-related policy was presented for a 30-day review.
