The Dover Area School District Board of Directors’ business meeting on August 11, 2026, approved the 2026–27 Automated Logic building-automation service plan; members said the system supported energy curtailment that saved approximately $33,000. The board also approved the first of two quotes for an elementary combination oven, reported in the discussion as approximately $11,400, and approved affiliation and program agreements with Robert Morris University and the HACC Tech Link Consortium. Bills-paid, treasurer’s, and year-to-date budget reports were also approved. The treasurer reported a $481,810 special-education subsidy, $48,000 in federal grants, and a routine $9 million beginning-of-year transfer pending tax revenue.
Facilities updates included completion of the stadium turf replacement ahead of schedule, a pool-water-heater replacement beginning the following day, ordered dishwashers, and pending work or bids for middle-school gates, stadium-field fencing, and a storm-water plan. The new scoreboard is being provided at no cost to the district through local sponsorships. The board also gave a first reading to a generative-AI-in-education policy for public review; it was not adopted at this meeting. The oven and service-plan approvals passed unanimously, as did other recorded votes.
