At the September 8, 2026 Oregon Village Board meeting, the board heard public comment and a preliminary presentation on Foxboro Golf Course and the proposed Autumn Ridge development. Owner/developer Glenn Hoffer outlined a concept involving residential phases and a nine-hole course with practice facilities, which golf operator Mike Kurig said would be more financially viable to maintain than an 18-hole course. Residents raised concerns about loss of recreational space, stormwater and flooding, traffic, and development costs, and urged the village to require applicant-funded studies. A trustee recused herself because her husband owns a home-building company. The board took no formal action on the concept; any direction would be preliminary and nonbinding pending formal applications.
The board approved $1,583,738.95 in vouchers and approved a bid/proposal after discussion, though the project and vendor are unclear in the transcript. It also approved consent items that included a Clean Sweep prescription-drug collection grant and an adjustment to a contractor’s substantial-completion date. The draft 2027–2036 capital improvement plan remained under review: discussion included $200,000 in impact fees for Bethl Green Acre, potential traffic-signal replacements using tax-increment-district funds, and a committee recommendation to shift most village hall work from 2027 to 2029. Final CIP review and approval were scheduled for a later meeting. The board also approved asking the school district to prepare a tax-bill insert explaining certain school-levy allocations, with the district covering the insert cost.
