The City of Bartlett Planning Commission met on October 5, 2026. No procurement activity, contract awards, vendor selections, or spending decisions were identified. The Commission unanimously voted to send an unfavorable recommendation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for the resubmitted Guffin Estates plan development, which reduced the proposal from 54 lots to 44. Residents raised concerns about drainage, tree buffers, access points, wildlife, and potential foundation impacts. The applicant described proposed stormwater measures, but the Commission voted against a favorable recommendation. The Village at Deer Run Phase Three application was withdrawn.
The Commission approved, with staff conditions and unanimous recorded votes, the Union Depot First Edition Phase Two construction plan, final plan, and site plan. The plans cover a 9.532-acre development area with 200 residential units and commercial mixed-use buildings, along with a pool and amenities. Conditions included review of Highway 70 streetlights with MLG&W and a traffic study, at the City’s discretion, to assess whether a southbound right-turn lane improvement is warranted. These were land-use and development approvals rather than procurement actions.
