The Warren County Commission met on October 20, 2026. Procurement and capital-project updates included Cooper Road work expected to cost just under $100,000, with an estimated $200,000 in taxpayer savings, and planned paving from the bridge near O’Dell’s Crossing to the county line, with preparation expected over the winter and paving in early spring. A highway-department proposal to develop an annex and maintenance building, including a salt bin, was estimated at nearly $500,000 and was expected to come to the commission for approval the following month; projected savings were described as approximately $250,000–$300,000. School facilities updates included the West Elementary gym nearing completion, completed high-school bleachers, an ongoing cafeteria project, and track renderings, with the track project expected to move forward. Grant-funded buildings for the sanitation department’s recycling work were also under construction.
The commission unanimously approved a three-year lease for space on a 911 tower system and several budget amendments, each reported as passing 24–0. These included amendments for a mental-health grant to relocate an operation to the former health department, a 100% grant for archives supplies, a recruitment-and-retention grant, and a highway-department amendment; the highway amendment’s specific purpose was garbled in the transcript. The commission also approved an agreement between the school system and TSBA for school-board policy monitoring and maintenance. A proposal to solicit public donations for spay-and-neuter services was still under review, with no action taken.
