10-12-2026 Regular Meeting of the School District of Milton

The School District of Milton’s regular school board meeting was held October 12, 2026. The board approved general checking account vouchers totaling $1,151,448. It also approved special-education coordination and mentoring stipends for the 2026–27 school year—$2,500 per participating teacher—and a $1,000 stipend for North Side special-education support scheduling. Staffing FTE totals, staffing reports, gifts and donations, and 20 early-graduation requests were also approved. The HR update noted that the district continues working with Kelly Education to fill substitute positions; no new vendor contract or procurement award was presented.

The board approved an updated unusually hazardous transportation plan methodology, with implementation planned for fall 2027 and community communication to precede the change. The district estimated the plan could affect about 80 families, and said it would review the methodology periodically as conditions change. The finance update reported a 12.11% increase in property valuations and declining enrollment; final aid and revenue-limit figures, a proposed levy, and further budget discussion were still pending.
