The Allegany County Planning & Economic Development Committee met on October 21, 2026. The work is grant-funded, with completion estimated for next summer; no contract amount was stated. The resolution was scheduled to go to Ways and Means and then the full Legislature. The committee also approved accepting and appropriating funding associated with the proposed purchase of the Belmont school: $500,000 in the 2026 budget and $250,000 in the 2027 budget. The report identified Ralph Wilson as having accepted the county’s application; the motion passed by voice vote.
