Neighborhood and Community Improvement Program Committee Meeting // October 21, 2026

The City of Monterey Neighborhood and Community Improvement Program (NCIP) Committee met on October 21, 2026, to review 43 nominated neighborhood and citywide projects for the current funding cycle. Staff reported that approximately $2.6 million is available for projects, with project voting scheduled for November 18. The committee reviewed proposals involving street lighting, sidewalks and crosswalks, traffic safety, parks, trail improvements, drainage, solar panels, forest management, and other community needs. No NCIP project awards or funding votes were made at this meeting; staff will continue evaluating proposals and bring additional information to the next review.
