Cleveland City Council’s Transportation and Mobility Committee met October 20, 2026, and approved several transportation improvement ordinances. For the Warren Road bridge deck over I-90, ODOT is expected to fund the full $7,115,500 cost and let the construction contract; work is planned for April 2028 through October 2029. Stokes Boulevard resurfacing is supported by nearly $4 million from NOACA and an estimated $946,229 city share. The Wade Park Avenue project includes five mini-roundabouts, bike and pedestrian safety improvements, and resurfacing, funded by $4.6 million from NOACA, $3.3 million from a safety fund, $4.25 million in Issue 1 funds, and an estimated $165,000 local match. The St. Clair Avenue target-speed project has a reported $7.3 million budget; the corrected legislative summary lists the city contribution as $1,628,937. The projects are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the Stokes and Wade Park work expected to extend into 2028.

The committee also approved authorization to solicit bids for a design-build upgrade to the airport’s centralized deicing-fluid collection and treatment equipment, with estimated design costs of $375,000 and construction costs of $3.75 million. It approved a one-year agreement with Fire Force Inc. for airport rescue and firefighting certification training at approximately $35,000 annually, with three one-year renewal options; officials cited an expanded firefighting team and the time since the prior agreement as reasons for the increase from about $27,500. In miscellaneous discussion, airport officials said they have no current plans to use airport property for IX Center event parking and intend to pursue aviation- and aerospace-related development on acreage returning to airport control. The listed ordinances were recorded as approved; the transcript does not describe separate roll-call votes on them.
