The West Linn-Wilsonville School District Long Range Planning Committee meeting on October 22, 2026, reviewed the 2025 bond program and long-range planning items. The district reported more than $22 million in contracts for work and services and over $13.4 million paid; about 6.5% of total bond funds had been spent and more than 10% committed. The district said its roughly $130 million bond sale had borrowing costs below the amount communicated before the vote, generated a $10.2 million bond premium, and was expected to earn about $800,000 in interest. Completed bond work included replacement of athletic turf and tracks, safety-system upgrades, equipment and vehicle purchases, and demolition of unused structures. Upcoming work includes security improvements, classroom furniture replacement, and projects being designed for summer 2027, with permitting and bidding expected in early 2027. A furniture RFP is anticipated by year-end. The district also reported that firms meeting minority-, women-, emerging-small-, or veteran-owned business criteria received just over 30% of design-service fees to date, and described outreach intended to broaden future contractor bidding pools. No procurement awards or spending motions were taken at this meeting; the July minutes were approved.

Other long-range planning topics included the pending Bolton historic-register nomination, the sale of the Opelander property (with $400,000 in earnest money due to the district), and a planned middle-school boundary analysis by Flow Analytics, expected around November or December. The committee also received an update on school safety communications and reunification planning. The next meeting was scheduled for January 13.
