The City of Punta Gorda Code Enforcement Board met on October 21, 2026. The board approved a reduction of Ocean Breeze Holdings LLC’s accumulated code-enforcement fines to $25,000, with payment due within 30 days; otherwise, the remaining fine of approximately $50,477 plus interest would remain valid. Members cited the property’s compliance and the company’s responsibility to perform due diligence when acquiring property with recorded liens. The board also tabled a penalty hearing involving a building-material dumpster until its November meeting, after the respondent reported working to reinstate permits and financing. In other cases, the board ordered a 120-day compliance period for a fire-damaged property, issued orders and case-cost requirements for other violations, and dismissed a case due to a change in ownership.

Staff reported that a marina property may not open or operate until its upland property is brought into compliance, that an appeal has been filed over a hotel’s harbor-walk fencing, and that the city plans to revisit code provisions concerning lien enforcement. The meeting focused on property and code enforcement; no procurement activity, contract awards, or purchasing decisions were identified.
