Mabel C. Fry Public Board Meeting - 10/21/2026 - 4:00PM

The Mabel C. Fry Public Library Board meeting was held October 21, 2026. The board approved the July 15 minutes and received the librarian’s report. Procurement and funding updates included a capital improvement project to remodel and expand the program room, delayed until approximately the beginning of 2027, and a proposed RFID-enabled indoor book drop estimated at about $6,000. The librarian is exploring whether county funds can be used for the book drop; quotes and bids for installation and equipment are still needed, and no purchase or contract award was approved. The library also received six public-use computers through the Oklahoma Broadband Office and was approved for state aid, with the funding amount expected in January. The board adopted homebound library delivery and volunteer policies by motion; the homebound service currently makes approximately six to eight deliveries per month. Members also voted to hold the January meeting on January 13, 2027, and discussed electing officers at that meeting. No vendor selections or procurement-related spending votes were recorded.
