The Platte County, Missouri Planning and Zoning Commission met on October 20, 2026. The commission approved a rezoning request for a 6.04-acre parcel from agricultural to Rural Estates. It also approved a request to rezone 8.75 acres from agricultural and R-80 to Highway Commercial for a landscaping and nursery business, along with related preliminary and final plats and a site development plan. Those approvals were conditioned on county approval of the rezoning and construction of a sidewalk within two years; the plan also includes access improvements and landscaping. The applicant described the business as a low-traffic operation, and stated that MoDOT review and permits would be required for work on the highway entrance. No contracts, purchases, or budget allocations were discussed.

The commission approved the final plat for the Estates at Shelter Haven second plat, dividing 18.26 acres into six single-family lots; the lots may not be further subdivided until 2040, and the plan includes private open-space and trail easements. It also approved a four-year special use permit for agritourism and a bed-and-breakfast facility, with conditions including no more than 25 people at an event, no more than six overnight guests, clear property-boundary signage, and use of the Interurban Road entrance except for emergency access during a flood. The meeting included no identified procurement activity.
